Local agency fundraises for Relay for Life event

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Content marketing and public relations firm Reputation Ink raised $3,030 for the American Cancer Society through the Relay for Life of Southside event.

The agency raised funds by creating, promoting and selling “Screw Cancer, Sip Wine” shirts in addition to individual team member fundraising efforts. The team also held an event, Whisk(ey) Away Cancer Night, at Fionn MacCool’s Irish Pub where 10 percent of select menu items benefited the charity.

The shirts were designed by Reputation Ink’s graphic designer Sharon Obeso and embodied the movement to make cancer obsolete while embracing the agency’s edgy brand and love of red wine.

Reputation Ink account coordinator Maria West served as the Relay for Life of Southside’s event lead and office manager Heather Perry served as team captain for the Reputation Ink team.

“Reputation Ink is passionate not only about the community, but about supporting causes close to team members’ hearts,” said West. “Relay for Life is my passion, and I was so grateful as my coworkers joined me in raising funds and awareness for such an important cause.”

Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society’s all-day community event featuring food, games, activities, entertainment, families and fun to raise money for cancer research, education, advocacy and service.

Currently, Relay for Life of Southside Jacksonville has raised over $19,000 and is still accepting donations through August.
