Marja Martinez is a creative storyteller who has spent nearly a decade developing digital content that moves people.
Breaking out of breaking news
Before making the switch to PR, Marja worked as a broadcast journalist writing hard-hitting news stories, creating compelling online content and engaging with thousands of viewers on multiple social media platforms.
Her career in journalism allowed her the opportunity to chase tornadoes in Texas, document protests in Portland, Oregon, and report live in Spanish and English for ABC World News Now, FOX Business Network, MundoFOX, Telemundo and Univision. She also produced and anchored a 30-minute news special that earned her a regional Emmy award.
Now she’s using the skills she honed as a reporter to help Reputation Ink’s clients define and promote their brands and build trust within their communities. Marja’s clients know they can trust her to devise an effective media strategy because she has a producer’s eye for what is truly newsworthy and how to sell it.
Bookworm, outdoor enthusiast and eager explorer
When she’s not drafting media pitches, Marja has her nose buried in a good book. She’ll read anything on Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine book club list and loves offering book recs to anyone and everyone who will tolerate it.
Alas, even bookworms need to see the light of day occasionally. Marja is no exception and loves to hike, fish and swim in the many lakes and rivers scattered throughout Idaho. She’s been to 38 of the 50 U.S. states and hopes to visit them all with her husband and son.
