JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (July 1, 2022) — Reputation Ink, a public relations and content marketing agency serving B2B professional services firms, has been awarded Gold in the Best PR podcast category by Bulldog PR Awards.
Rep Ink’s “Spill the Ink” podcast is hosted by the agency’s principal and president Michelle Calcote King. Launched in January 2021, the podcast features experts on thought leadership and brand visibility for professional services firms. King interviews lawyers, architects, engineers, construction professionals, marketing and business development pros, journalists, and a range of consultants and experts, discussing ways law firms, AEC firms and other professional services firms can grow through thought leadership-fueled marketing and public relations. “While I love podcasts, many of them feature hosts who engage in a lot of banter and casual conversation, taking a long time to get to the meaty, substantive information,” King said. “In contrast, our podcast episodes are straight to the point, without banter or fluff. We aim to provide a format that a busy professional can listen to on a 30-minute walk or commute and gain insights without feeling like any of their time was wasted. To make this happen, we conduct a significant amount of research prior to each episode, ensuring the conversation is focused and chock full of value.”
The Reputation Ink team launched the podcast with the goal of building relationships with potential referral sources — people who serve the same client base but do not compete directly with Reputation Ink. For example, King has interviewed experts in business development, recruiting, event planning, diversity and inclusion, research and more, as well as in-house professionals (who were not yet clients of Reputation Ink) at law and AEC firms.
Rep Ink also aimed to establish itself as a thought leader in the legal and AEC industries through the podcast. While the agency already creates content via a blog and publishing articles in trade media outlets, the team wanted to add an additional type of content platform to showcase their own thought leadership.
To date, Rep Ink has signed two new client retainer accounts that can be directly attributed to the podcast.
Reputation Ink also received Gold from the Bulldog PR awards in 2020 for its INKsights newsletter.
