JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (November 18, 2022)— Public relations and content marketing agency Reputation Ink has hired Ashton Nichols as an account coordinator. She joined the agency in November.
As a former multi-platform reporter, Nichols has covered everything from crime, the government and small business to the energy industry, technology and venture capital. Her writing has been featured in The Dallas Morning News, The Columbus Dispatch and The Ohio Center for Investigative Journalism.
“We’re thrilled to expand our team with such a talented media professional,” said Michelle Calcote King, Reputation Ink’s principal & president. “Ashton’s background as a business reporter is invaluable to our clients as she can quickly understand and distill complex topics into compelling, newsworthy information.”
Prior to joining Reputation Ink, Nichols worked for a corporate benefits company as a content writer. In this role she focused on learning successful content marketing and writing in different mediums for a business-to-business (B2B) market.
Nichols’ work as a reporter has been recognized at both state and national levels. She was awarded the Julie Galvan Outstanding Graduate in Journalism Award in 2021 from the Society of Professional Journalists, honoring her for her leadership with Ohio University’s student SPJ chapter and for her news writing skills. She is also a former White House Correspondents’ Association Scholar, and her work has placed high in both the Mark of Excellence Awards and the national Hearst Awards.
“Telling stories and learning new things are two of my favorite things about life,” Nichols said. “I’m thrilled to join this team of talented writers and media professionals, where I can continue to learn, grow my writing craft and support our clients with great content.”
