JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Aug. 12, 2022) — Public relations and content marketing agency Reputation Ink has hired Marja Martinez as an account coordinator. She joined the agency in August.
Before making the switch to PR, Marja worked as a broadcast journalist writing hard-hitting news stories, creating compelling online content and engaging with thousands of viewers on multiple social media platforms.
Her career in journalism allowed her the opportunity to chase tornadoes in Texas, document protests in Portland, Oregon, and report live in Spanish and English for ABC World News Now, FOX Business Network, MundoFOX, Telemundo and Univision. She also produced and anchored a 30-minute news special that earned her a regional EMMY award.
Now she’s using the skills she honed as a reporter to help Reputation Ink’s clients promote their brands and build trust and credibility with stakeholders.
“At the heart of every good story is a character we can all relate to and my job is to find them and give them a voice. That’s as true in marketing and public relations as it is in journalism,” said Martinez. “I’m excited to join an agency full of kind and knowledgeable professionals who strive to be the best at what they do.”
“Marja has a producer’s eye for what is truly newsworthy and how to sell it,” said Michelle Calcote King, Reputation Ink’s principal and president. “We’re excited for her to apply her journalism skills to achieve our clients’ goals.”
